Reigning World Junior high jump champion Alessia Trost of Italy ruled the women’s event tonight with 1.95, perhaps not surprising given her seven-centimetre lead in the season’s statistical list with no rival nearby.

Russia’s London 2012 Olympic Games gold medallist Olympic winner Ivan Ukhov will compete again on the Moravia High Jump Tour and will open his 2013 campaign at the indoor meetings in the Czech towns of Hustopece and Trinec on 26 and 29 January respectively.

Russian Ivan Ukhov is one of the most consistent stars of world athletics and it will not be long before he is back in action. Ukhov won Olympic high jump gold in London and has confirmed he will be defending his title in the 9th staging of the Moravia Tour in the Czech Republic next month.
