Last year’s European Champion under 22 Jan Štefela will face the latest Czech Champion Marek Bahník. They both exceeded the 220 cm height last year which is also Štefela’s personal best. Bahník’s maximum is even 5 centimeters higher. In the world rankings, they are both at the end of the first top 100 and they would certainly like to move higher. The bronze meeting in Hustopeče, which belongs to the World Indoor Tour series, is definitely an excellent opportunity for this. Marek Bahník was a clear winner at the last year’s Czech Championship in Pilsen. We can all just guess how this year’s high jump competition in Hustopeče (5/02/22) will end up.
